A new composite deck for a Whenuapai Townhouse
Our client was looking to extend their living space by creating a functional outdoor living area that could be enjoyed throughout the year.
The project required a durable, low-maintenance decking solution that would complement the home, enhance outdoor living and meet the relevant townhouse requirements.
The result is a spacious 20sqm deck, using Ekodeck composite decking in Highland Oak. The warm timber-look finish creates a clean aesthetic while offering a practical alternative to traditional timber decking.
Ekodeck is a great, low-effort alternative to timber, as its durability means it doesn’t require the same level of upkeep as a timber deck e.g. regular staining, oiling or sealing.
To complete the space, we also built a custom heat pump cover using the same decking material. Designed to seamlessly integrate with the deck, the cover conceals the heat pump while incorporating a feature shelf for a clean, cohesive finish.
