New outdoor spaces were created at Whangaparāoa Primary School with the construction of over 100sqm of durable composite decking outside several classrooms.

Designed to support flexible learning and improve accessibility, the project included new stairs, ramps and built-in seating, allowing students and teachers to move easily between indoor and outdoor spaces. The decks provide a practical extension of the classrooms, creating more room for group activities and outdoor learning.

Materials & Features

The build used Eko Deck composite decking, chosen for its durability, low maintenance and slip-resistant surface — ideal for high-use school environments.
